Responsible for the successful recruitment of qualified physicians and advanced practice providers for both Augusta Health and Augusta Medical Group. Anticipates potential needs and develops plans to fulfill those needs within a responsible time period. Following completion of the initial training period (approximately 60–90 days), a hybrid work schedule is available.
Essential Functions:
- Cultivates and maintains collegial working relationships with Augusta Health and AMG Administration, physicians, APP’s, practice administration/management and staff.
- Stays current on regional and national physician hiring trends and practices; researches competitor’s activities to keep informed of changes impacting Augusta Health and Augusta Medical Group’s ability to hire and retain top physician and APP talent.
- Gather pertinent data concerning new opportunities to create job postings, and profiles on appropriate physician and APP recruitment databases. Maintain job openings on career website.
- Source candidates through a variety of recruitment platforms and methods.
- Communicate important employment information during delivery of employment offers (e.g., benefits, compensation, and other employment related agreements).
- Screen resumes, interview candidates (by phone or in person), administer appropriate assessments and reference/background checking, make recommendations for hire (or not hire) and deliver employment offers for both exempt and nonexempt position openings within assigned healthcare areas.
- Corresponds with and provides status updates to job applicants when needed.
- Create recruitment strategies to recruit and hire the best talent to Augusta Health.
- Serve as an expert for recruiting candidates within assigned healthcare areas.
- Use traditional and non-traditional resources, such as career fairs, online job fairs, community network events, etc., to identify and attract quality candidates.
- Develop advertising programs (internal and external) to ensure high visibility with potential candidates.
- Analyze compensation comparators and calculate offer pay rate. Evaluate and negotiate total compensation package for offers.
- Maintains applicant tracking database reflecting documentation of positions open, interviews scheduled, visits, offers made or not made, offers accepted or not accepted, contract status, comments and other information as needed.
- Organizes and coordinates all aspects of candidate itineraries, agendas and site visits including; travel and hotel reservations, practice, hospital and community tours, appointments with physicians, lunches/dinner reservations, and may execute and escort candidates through their interviews and visit.
- Maintain ongoing communication with candidate before during and after interviews to assist in the on-boarding, announcement, and transition into their new position.
- Follow up with candidates and hiring managers to obtain feedback regarding recruiting process.
- Generates reports and attends department recruitment huddles and report out department updates at leadership meetings.
- In collaboration with the legal department prepare document for contract generation, manage DocuSign and contract tracking.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Healthcare Administration, related field required.
Experience and Certifications Requirements:
- 2 years professional experience required; at least 1-year recruiting experience desired.
- Certification in provider recruiting preferred
