Specialty Clinical Nurse Manager - Emergency Department

About the Job
The Clinical Manager utilizes the nursing process, transformational leadership skills, evidenced based practice, a shared leadership approach and lean principles in developing and maintaining the clinical skill in the Emergency Services areas. The Clinical Manager will assist with the Director of Emergency Services with the quality and performance improvement plan for the clinical areas within Emergency Services. This position will work closely with the ED Clinical Educator and other members of the Emergency Services leadership to develop education programs related to assessed needs for Emergency Services. The Clinical Manager assumes the responsibility in coaching and developing the Emergency Services team member's clinical skills to meet the needs of the patients served. The Clinical Manager will maintain skillset to provide patient care when necessary. 

Education Requirements:
  • BSN required.
  • Masters in related field of nursing preferred.

Experience Requirements:
  • Minimum of two years‘ experience in an acute inpatient setting and/or specialty.

License Requirements:
  • Must be currently licensed in the State of Virginia as a RN or have the ability to obtain licensure in VA within 60 days of hire.
